Taylor Swift, Lea Michele, Scarlett Johansson Up for Eponine in 'Les Miserables' Adaptation: Rumor
Will Taylor Swift, Lea Michele, Scarlett Johansson or Evan Rachel Wood be on their own for the coming big-screen adaptation of 'Les Miserables'? Groan, but: perhaps! At least if you believe Page Six and the NY Post. According to the paper, all four actresses are vying for the key role of Eponine in Academy Award winner Tom Hooper's new film. Per a source, Swift, Michele, Johansson and Wood bring something to the role, but Michele -- the 'Glee' starlet who made her Broadway debut as a fill-in for Cosette in 'Les Miserables' -- "knocked it out of the park." Obviously take out giant grains of salt -- the kind you need both hands to carry -- but these choices are all kinda promising? Presumably, Eddie Redmayne -- who plays Eponine's love, Marius -- is waiting patiently to see who gets cast. Just because: watch 'Les Miserables' co-star Anne Hathaway (she's playing Fantine) sing a parody of Eponine's killer number "On My Own" at the Academy Awards below. 'Les Miserables' stars Hathaway, Redmayne, Hugh Jackman, Russell Crowe and Geoffrey Rush. It hits theaters in December 2012. [via NYP] [Photo: AFP/Getty]
